Just like the last Iron Maiden album I reviewed, I cannot find much wrong with this album. Despite the lack of attachment I have to it, all the songs are great and sound so much better than some other artists in this genre. I'm starting to see where rock got its roots, and I'm enjoying Iron Maiden quite a bit. For a 1983 album, this is one that stood the test of time.
Why am I starting to enjoy bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden? Live After Death is a live album, one side of the disc being from Long Island Beach, and the other being at the Hammersmith. Some of their songs really fucking good and I wasn't even put off by the live audience stuff, like the "Left Side, Right Side" stuff. The fact that it started with a Winston Churchill speech as well was very nice. It gains a very good mark.
