ALBUM REVIEW: Late Registration by Kanye West

an album does not two hit singles save

Late Registration is the second studio album from the man now known as Ye. Honestly, I'll admit that I do love "Touch The Sky" and "Gold Digger" as they are just jams. Now on to the rest of it. I found most of it very boring and I just didn't really like much of it. Don't get me wrong, it's good rapping, but there's something missing. It doesn't feel like the album clicks together, and comparing this to his previous album The College Dropout, this massively disappoints me. All in all, songs didn't really stand out apart from the hit singles and it left me feeling deflated.

ALBUM REVIEW: The College Dropout by Kanye West

best kanye album i've reviewed yet

I fucking jived to this. The College Dropout is a great album from the man now known as ye. The first song "We Don't Care" is a fucking jam, "Slow Jamz" is a fucking classic and the rest of the album is so good. Heck, I'm gonna say it: Kanye has done the best over 10-minute last song on a rap album (Editor's Note: I'm not sure this still stands but we'll see). "Last Call" didn't make me want to rip my hair out, I actually loved it. The College Dropout gets a great score.

ALBUM REVIEW: ye by Kanye West

JESUS I underestimated Kanye. This album is actually really good. The start is odd as it's mostly spoken word, but it kicks off straight away and you start to bop to it. Very good album. I'd recommend it.

ALBUM REVIEW: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West

I was wondering what I would think about a Kanye West album. People hail him as one of the best rappers in the world and listening to this album, I can see why some would state that. Songs in this album are pretty good and Kanye does very well. My gripes with it, however, are the overuse of swears, the number of features (4 just on one song), and the ad libs/non-music parts in songs. It's a good album but not something that I would listen to.
