Hot Take Incoming! The Colour and The Shape isn't a great album. Sure, it has Monkey Wrench, My Hero and Everlong, but Jesus Christ is it bogged down by some stinkers. Slow songs that ruin the flow of the album and even a fucking banjo. Don't get me wrong, slow songs are okay in rock albums. But the quality of these slow songs is disappointing. The album is okay, but I suggest take it with salt as some of it can just really hinder your listening momentum.
Wasting Light is a fairly good album by Foo Fighters. Featuring hits such as Rope and Walk, it boasts some good songs. Unfortunately there also some forgettable songs that don't really butter my eggrolls and as such, I have to give it this score, as I enjoyed it, but it's not high on my relisten list.
This album fucking rocks. I hadn't even heard anything from this album but GOD DAMN I was impressed. I would heartily recommend this album to anyone who likes rock and also suggest it to people getting into the genre. You will love it.
