Hot Take Incoming! The Colour and The Shape isn't a great album. Sure, it has Monkey Wrench, My Hero and Everlong, but Jesus Christ is it bogged down by some stinkers. Slow songs that ruin the flow of the album and even a fucking banjo. Don't get me wrong, slow songs are okay in rock albums. But the quality of these slow songs is disappointing. The album is okay, but I suggest take it with salt as some of it can just really hinder your listening momentum.Devil's Score: 6
