ALBUM REVIEW: Beards, Beards, Beards by The Beards

I didn't want to do this review. I really didn't. I looked to see if it was on Spotify, it sadly was. They have 5 albums. I regrettably click on the first song, entitled "Born with a Beard", and I instantly get the idea of what this album is going to be about. It starts off well enough, with some good acoustic guitar and a beat that I could listen to if I was hanging with mates at the pub. Then, the singer comes in. He's very folky, to the point it sounds like that local guy at your local fair. He sings about a baby being born with a beard, and it's a lot of comedy inside the song. Now, I enjoy some comedy songs, but boy oh boy do I not like a comedy album. I skipped through song number one to the second "No Beard, No Good", and it still had that acoustic guitar feel, making it feel samey. And there was still some comedy.
In the end, I made it through 4 songs before deciding that I do not want to spend 49 minutes reviewing an album about beards. The only good thing was the instruments.

Devil's Score: 2
