Pretty. Odd. is my least favourite album going into this listening. I always found the folk and country twist on the later songs slightly out of taste, and still, I do feel slightly the same way. But putting away my biases, I now recognise that lyrically, it is a masterful album with some great tunes. Sometimes, you have to listen to a whole song to really recognise what makes it good and although some of the later songs start very oddly, the middles and ends are great pieces of art. There's a great message behind the songs, the first song of the album is a short, upbeat introduction of sorts that transitions perfectly into the second song. However, due to the fact that some of the songs really do not have the relistening ability, such as Folkin' Around and From A Mountain In The Middle Of The Cabins, it can't get my higher scores.
Devil's Score: 8
